Mar 04, 2014 · Bridging a WRT54G to a local hotspot (iphone) with DD-WRT March 4, 2014, 3:40 pm These instructions are geared to a mobile phone hotspot, but they should apply to most hotspots. Pretty much what the title says. I flashed a WRT-54G v6 w/ dd-wrt micro. All is well (pretty sweet, btw. Never tried dd-wrt before). I directly plug my laptop into the router that is to be bridged to the "master" router. I follow the instructions on the wiki and Apr 19, 2015 · Set wireless mode from “AP” (default) to “Client Bridge”. Client bridge mode is like repeater bridge mode, but doesn’t extend the wireless signal of the main router. I say to set this up first because it’s simpler than repeater bridge mode, and thus it’s easier to fix when something goes wrong. The DD-WRT instructions for the R8000 explicitly indicate NOT to use Wireless Client Bridge. I assume this is because with newer routers with MIMO radios do not support Client Bridge and instead allow the configuration of Repeater Bridge mode (which creates a wifi bridge in the same subnet and allows both wifi *and* wired connections both sides of the bridge). b) dd-wrt is in Client-bridge mode c) I did a site survey, saw my Actiontec SSID and clicked on Join -> message was that Linksys dd-wrt had successfully joined as a client. d) But not quite. e) I gave the correct SSID and typed the correct WEP 64-bit mode. I gave the passphrase and then clicked on "generate". That generated 4 10-digit hex keys. Aug 30, 2017 · I have been trying to setup a wireless (WPA2-AES on mixed b/g) client bridge between a WRT54G2 running DD-WRT ('slave') and a proprietary ISP router running stock OS ('master'). I have gotten an established connection between the two and can access the configuration page of the master when connected to the slave via Ethernet only (I can also

Client Bridge. First of all, do not even try to do client bridge with dd-wrt SP1. It won't work. The router that you are trying to connect to is the primary router. The router you are configuring is the client bridge(CB) router. You don't need to worry about the primary router as long a s you set your CB to the SAME subnet. I will take screenshots later tonight of my setup which will help you.
